Latin GCSE

Just finished my first sat GCSE examination of this year. It was the easier Latin unseen paper and it was amazingly boring. I had jut before it my final module of the Institute of Language French course which was a speaking exam which I did jointly with Jonny Wong about the cafĂ© bombings during the Algerian War of Independance. My Latin exam was so easy that I had 30 minutes of the 1 hour 15 minute paper free. During that time I didn’t go as mad as I have done in exams before. The worst I got was closing my eyes imagining I was somewhere else and then opening my eyes and expecting to turn up somewhere else and when I tried to speed up time by concentrating on it very hard.

I have decided to keep track of the wasted time in exams so here is the beginning of my table:

Exam

Length of Exam (minutes) Time wasted (minutes) Percentage of exam wasted
Latin Easy Unseen 75 30 40%
GRAND TOTAL 75 30 40%

  • THIRTY WHOLE MINUTES!! You truly are a genius, Will. Also, your spelling of "beginning" reeks of manly boldness!
  • that latin paper was a bit of a joke. i finished so much earlier than it ended and sat wondering if i'd missed a page or something.
i've got two more latin gcses tomorrow.

good idea keeping track of wasted time. it might give me something to do during that time.

Lol I wasted half an hour building a pen tower. It wasn't a patch on the amazing one I built in the latin mock, but it kept me entertained.
